I noticed something in my own photos I couldn't unsee. My right side — more compressed, tighter jaw, smaller eye opening. Everything on that side just... braced. I'm right-handed. And my face is literally holding the pattern of a body that has been gripping and guarding for years.

Once I saw it, I started noticing it everywhere. In my posture. In the way I breathe. In my digestion. In the low-grade tension I'd just accepted as normal.

This workshop is everything I've learned about what that pattern means — and how to release it.

The Domino Effect

One pattern of tension
reorganizes the whole body

Jaw bracing — dominant-side clenching compresses the masseter, pulling the cranial base and affecting the vagus nerve
Head shifts forward — the hyoid follows, the neck shortens, adding up to 27 lbs of effective load per inch forward
Shoulders round, chest closes — fascia from jaw to pec minor contracts, limiting thoracic mobility and rib expansion
Breath becomes shallow — compressed thorax restricts the diaphragm, keeping cortisol elevated and oxygen limited
Nervous system stays activated — vagus nerve compression keeps the body in low-grade fight-or-flight
Digestion slows — vagal tone drops, gut motility reduces, the belly holds the tension too

I'm a somatic and integrative bodywork practitioner with a deep passion for how the body stores and speaks tension — and how we can learn to listen.

This workshop grew directly from my own experience noticing asymmetry in my own face and tracing it back through my jaw, my nervous system, my breath, and my gut. Everything I share I've lived, studied, and practiced.

I believe the body is always trying to heal. It just needs permission, attention, and the right tools.
